Do you do household chores in the evening?

I tidy the kitchen after tea (usually about 6pm) and sometimes put the dishwasher on and that’s it! I can’t be bothered to do a lot more. This evening I cleaned the kitchen floor and changed my bedsheets. Imagine how much I could get done if I wasn’t so lazy!

Absolutely not. I can only face housework in the mornings - and if it's a really dark, dreary day I can't do it either.

I cook most nights and dh does the dishwasher but we wash up the pots and pans the next day. By MN housework-obsessed standards, ours are quite low 😬.

It's easier when the evenings are lighter - just dishes & putting away dried laundry at this time of year but do lots in the mornings.

No. Dh does the kitchen. I might bung a load in the washing machine on the timer, so it comes on early morning, but that’s about my limit. I’m not an evening person.

What time are you all getting home from work? I get back around 6:30 at best, sometimes 7 and an hour after that if I go to the gym which is twice/week after work.

I might put some laundry on, unload/load dishwasher and wipe surfaces in the kitchen but wouldn’t dream of starting to vacuum or wash floors unless I’d spilt something.

I do housework in the evenings during lighter months. The short days mean that by 5pm when it's dark I go into hibernation mode. I'd really like to live somewhere with more consistent (mostly longer) daylight hours all year round.

Yes, get DS to sleep. Then do the laundry, kitchen etc…
If I fall asleep with him, then I do it in the night if I wake.

Kitchen is always immaculate of an evening and dishwasher / washing on. I hate waking up to a mess so everything will be tidied away, but deeper cleans (bathrooms/mopping floors) are always weekend jobs here. Vacuum first thing every day (including sofas, dog hair) but that takes 10 mins max.

Yes I get most things done after the dc have gone to bed as I like taking them out of the house during the day, or playing with them at home. Usually I'm up until 1-2am doing cleaning or food prep.

God no. I work full time. Sod that. I get up an hour earlier than I need to and do things plus am home every lunchtime for the dogs and I do stuff then. Evenings are mine. I have a mad Saturday morning housework thing and anyone who is home joins in but life is too short to Clean after work.

No! I feed everyone, husband does dishwasher / washing up.
