Doing a Marie Kondo on my kitchen.
I have a bin bag of actual rubbish
A pile for Vinted/ charity shop

What to do with things that are in between? Seems awful to just bin but can’t give to charity.
Examples include used mugs and other cookware, unused but no longer needed party napkins, plates etc.

Local buy nothing Facebook group?
You can offer doorstep collection and just pop it outside when someone requests. Most things go really fast around here

Sunshineandrainbow · 06/01/2024 16:37

I would give mugs and cookware to charity.

Or post on olio app for collecting

DilemmaDelilah · 06/01/2024 17:27

I offer for free on facebook... If nobody wants then they go in the bin.

BobnLen · 06/01/2024 17:30

A lot of those charity bags that come through the door want bric a brac and stuff, I put things like mugs and kitchenware in there. Anything breakable I wrap in old Amazon packaging.

Definitely offer for free on Facebook Marketplace. Some folk have nothing at all and will be glad of it.

BitchImTheSecretIngredient · 06/01/2024 17:37

Olio is good for stuff like this

CharmedCult · 06/01/2024 17:37

You will have some kind of local 'give it away for free' Facebook group. You'd be amazed what people will take if it's free.
