Inspire me - if you're going away in the Feb half term, tell me where please!

Family of four, don't fancy skiing but not adverse to a city break somewhere cold... or sun of course! I don't want to spend my life savings but don't mind spending a few quid as the world is bleak and life is short.

Please tell me your plans for travelling the Feb half term!

I get the feeling my DH wants to go to NYC which I do like but also that wind in February!

I'd go somewhere to see the Northern Lights. Norway, Finland, Iceland.

I've done NY in Feb half term and it was very cold! I'd probably save that for the Spring.

We're going to Liverpool!

missfliss · 06/01/2024 14:01

Gran Canaria for 5 days. Never been, never indulged in a winter holiday but I need a boost this year

itsmyp4rty · 06/01/2024 14:02

Palma Mallorca, won't be hot but we love it there so just going to get away.

Oh I do love Liverpool! And the DC have never been...

Would Prague be incredibly freezing? Tim's so very beautiful.

Or San Sebastián for eating?

Or Sicily might be starting to warm up?

Or the west of Ireland to see the early lambs.

Or stay at home and read all those books on my bedside (hah! As if I would have time to do that if I stayed at home and wouldn't be doing constant washing and cleaning and sorting out)...

We are going to Prague (am hoping it's cold and snowy!). Kids haven't been before.

I did price up Iceland but was coming out too expensive for us. Still on the bucket list for me so will see about next Feb half term instead.

Would recommend Budapest, it's beautiful and the river might even be frozen which would be incredible. The outside hot springs would be fab in the cold.

Oh never been! Is it snowy cold in Feb?

Or Amsterdam? DH has never been and I have only been for work.

I have never been to Cornwall either.

(This is half the fun).

Scotland, we must be mad.

Astonetogo · 06/01/2024 19:22

Belize!

Andalucia: Malaga/ Seville/ Granada/ Cordoba

NancyJoan · 06/01/2024 19:45

Seville for three nights, then London for a night with DD to go to the theatre.

cheesychipsontheoche · 06/01/2024 19:56

4 nights Cayton Bay and three nights Whitley Bay, courtesy of Parkdeans sale.

My kids are 8 and 10 and love a caravan park. Swimming every day, entertainment shows every night and play areas/football. Easy and cheap way to keep them entertained
