Criteria:

  • Spain or Spanish islands (preferably)
  • On a budget
  • 4 kids (4-14)
  • Near a beach
  • (Hopefully) near a water park
  • All-inclusive hotel that's decent enough

Any personal suggestions?

Los Christianos, we went last May and stayed at Coral Alisos. I think you can go all inclusive but we went self catering because there's so many restaurants nearby. You also have Siam Park 10 minutes away.

“on a budget”?

what does that mean???

withthischoice · 06/01/2024 12:53

what is your budget?

withthischoice · 06/01/2024 12:54

for all inclusive

you definitely want more than “good enough”

good enough is passable if room only.

Santa ponsa in Majorca is a lovely family resort . We stayed at Plazamar serenity gardens last summer lovely hotel and pool with gorgeous food on all inclusive x

Budget is around 2.5k!

Everyone bare with me, I've never booked a holiday before at all Blush

But now I'm questioning whether all inclusive is best anyway? I just imagined it being cheaper being on all inclusive and not having to overly consider extensive extra costs.

When are you hoping to go? I'm assuming school hols due to ages of children but which school hols as that affects where you get the most for your money.

I'm very excited for you! Let's find you some great options!

Inyourwildestdreams · 06/01/2024 13:01

When are you looking to go and where are you flying from @loght? 😊 huge variations in price depending on when/where 😊

loght · 06/01/2024 13:01

@YesitsBess we are considering going in school time. The school(s) they're at are very lenient/helpful in authorising short absences for holidays and given all children there have brilliant attendance and never have had to have a holiday request in before, I can't imagine there being a problem.

And I think we're aiming for end of May!

for how long?

YesitsBess · 06/01/2024 13:06

@loght I would definitely check beforehand about that!

If you book and don't get authorisation, the LA fines will take a fair chunk out of that budget. I'd be astonished if your 14 year old got approval.

bluebellcopse · 06/01/2024 13:09

End of may is usually whit week anyway.

I'm not sure you're going to get an all inc holiday somewhere decent with four kids.

You would probably get something within that budget If you rented an apartment with a shared pool, close to supermarkets etc so you can buy food in, and just had a couple of meals out and a trip to a water park.

almondflake · 06/01/2024 13:10

I know you've said spain but when we're going all inclusive with kids you can't beat turkey one in particular is turan prince in side , it's set up for families with kids , has a water park, entertainment and the food is great.
We've found all inclusive a benefit as there's always food and drinks available and you can eat out if you choose and to be honest i don't want to spend my hard earned holidays shopping and cooking when it's all laid on . Don't get me wrong I've had many a self catering holiday but now prefer all inclusive .
Another couple to look at if you're interested is Royal dragon at side that has its own fairground in the evening and Paloma Grida village . Fantastic hotels all of them .

loght · 06/01/2024 13:13

@almondflake the only thing that put me off Turkey was the length of the flight in comparison when I'm not a great traveller and with young kids!

The cheapest holiday on Jet2 website is £2250 for self catering in Benidorm. Haven't read the trip advisor reviews so don't know how good it would be.

Imtoooldforallthis · 06/01/2024 13:23

What about this, or look on Tui filter by budget and then sort by reviews
