I had a grocery order for yesterday Tesco but their site was down on Thursday and I wasn't able to amend my order. I booked another slot for today to finish the shop but then I meant to cancel it but I forgot to cancel last night. I don't need it now. How do I cancel.

Ring them. Unfortunately you may not be able to cancel it now as it wil have gone for packing.

I'd call their customer line directly for a quick response.

Call them. They may be able to cancel the delivery but might make you pay for any perishable food.

(Obviously if it isn’t going to hugely mess up your finances you could just accept the things and freeze / store as necessary?)

Yes phone or whatsapp them. I've done it a couple of times when they were otherwise going to drive out to deliver a single banana, and they sorted it for me. Its worth a go.

Ring them. I'd expect them to refund-not your fault their site was down.
Tesco generally v good about stuff like this.

I phoned them once and they were really helpful. But there weren’t any perishable goods involved, just my usual holding bottle of bubbly!

If the delivery turns up then send it all back. I don’t know if they will charge you for delivery if you paid for that but the system was down for hours on Thursday night and you’ve placed another order so hopefully they will refund that.

Actually, I didn’t take full account of what you said, @PremiumPony. If it’s their fault then obviously they’ll have to fix it and bear the cost.

I had a shop booked for Friday delivery from earlier in the week. I went in on Thursday evening to make changes to the order and grocery shop but their site and system was down. So I was unable to complete my shopping. I left so much out of my shopping and I had so much unwanted stuff in the basket. I was unable to cancel the delivery too.

The order still came yesterday and my mother took it in. It was an ok shop but it wasn't a complete shop.

So I booked another shop for today but then late yesterday evening my mother asked to cancel it til Monday. Then I went to bed and I forgot about it til this morning.

So I had another shite order due for me.

I rang and they were helpful and I cancelled but pain in the absolute ass all around.

I would have been able to do a proper shop on Thursday night if their site wasn't down.
