What can I do today

My kids are with their Dad for the weekend, and I don't want to be hanging around the house all weekend. I had plans with friends, but they have just fallen though. I don't want to go for a walk or shopping and I can't see anything I fancy at the cinema. Any suggestions to stop me feeling so flat?

If you’re a reader, the library?
Any little cupboards or bits that need cleaning out?
a swim?
maybe just tell yourself you’ll do one thing and then see where it leads?
it’s beautiful cold and clear weather where I am so perhaps just a little bit of time outside will feel good.
hope you feel a bit perkier later

Any nice National Trust places near you? Or a nice museum?

Tricky if you don’t want to go for a walk but could you drive somewhere nice and go for a coffee somewhere? Or to the beach?

I think I’d go for a big walk and treat myself to a nice lunch then come home and read/paint/watch stuff only I want to watch.

maybe see if any other friends are free for Sunday brunch?

What did you do with your day in the end OP? I think I'd have some creative projects I could keep running for the days they're away. Redecorating/ upcycling/ building something/ painting/ sewing.
Or is there something like a hiking/cycling/ mountaineering group you'd be interested in? Or learning a language for holidays/films/Netflix? Or an instrument?
Hope you had a good day

All the little jobs you keep saying you'll do but with a coffee and a podcast and then go to a beach and sit and people watch. Maybe get something that only you like to eat for the evening and enjoy it!
