WWYD Noisy neighbours

Hi

So some may remember a while back I posted about noisy neighbours issue. Well I gathered up all my courage to phone the council and, they came witnessed the noise and sent out a warning letter! Woohoo, neighbours paid attention for 2 weeks, we have had the odd occasion during the day, but it's not awful enough during the day, we can cope!

We met the fella outside one evening, who asked about it and he said don't worry any more issues call me ( I did explain we have done this before, but basically we're told by the lady living there to f**k off) he was nice enough, took his number. Thought great!.

So rang him this evening, asking politely can you turn it down, said yep, I'll sort it. Except it was still audible! Not as bad as it first started but still what I would class a nuisance. Kids would find it difficult to get to sleep, that kinda audible!

WWYD?. I need to get my head straight, feel like just giving up and going to her housing team already!

Any advice would be very welcome, apart from moving because at the min, as much as I would love to we can't!

TIA

I don't remember the original post but I'd keep complaining to council if it's a council property.

If he's amenable to you messaging him then also do that but if it doesn't work you need to take it further

Looking on the good faith side, he did exactly what you asked. He just has no idea how much the sound travels.
So, next time it is too loud, message him, and once he's turned it down, message back and say thanks, but it is still really loud in your house, and needs to go down further.

So did this again this morning! In the end could hear the woman shouting f**k off, and the repeatedly banging on the wall. Worse thing didn't mind the banging on the wall. This went on till about 4pm n then silence since thankfully. But as you can imagine I'm holding my breath, as I can imagine tomorrow will be much more the same!

Just starting to wonder why people can be so horrible. Clearly she doesn't care/ listen.
