Bus crashed into car,phoned police,now home what happens?

I was on a bus earlier. There was a car who was chasing us then overtook then stopped in front of the bus . The bus crashed into the car. The owner of the car then came out of the car and punched the bus driver. I called 999 as the only person on the bus.
I and the bus driver spoke to the police but he then drove his route.
I gave my name and number to the bus driver .
What happens next? It was assault
Will the police contact me?

Yes if they need witnesses. Probably best not to detail the crime online incase anyone happens to be on the jury and reads this.

If you want to make sure the driver has reported it (sometimes people don't for a whole host of reasons) you can report online yourself or call 101, the police will be in touch.

As for potential jury members being prejudiced by a vague story on MN with no time location etc for a case that would more than likely be heard by a magistrate 😂
