I think there is a rat in my floor boards

A few weeks ago I heard what I thought was our outside Christmas lights rubbing in the wind against the garage flat roof from inside the living room.

it’s gradually got louder and I can hear something running along the wall inside the floor boards.

it’s only a brief sound of scratching, then it runs off. Pease tell me it could be a squirrel. It’s started 7.30 after being silent during the day.

dh was scoffing it’s just th water pipes, until it ran. Very loud, can’t see it being a mouse.

My worst nightmare . Pay to get a professional in to dispose before it breeds!!

It'll be birds on the roof..we used to have a flat roof and the noise was insane ar certain times of day.

Unless somewhere on Ratnet there is a rodent posting AIBU about this human who keeps ruining their ratrun with god awful Christmas lights.

There’s a mouse (I’ve decided not a rat; only a mouse. It makes me feel better?!) inside my wall.

I heard it yesterday and again today.

Maybe the wet weather has driven them inside and they’ll soon be back out… or am
I clutching at straws.

Sympathy and solidarity anyway Op!

It’s not a bird… it’s running along the inside of the living room roof. There is a bedroom above the living room.

I’m Nty king that risk. I had a rat living in the kitchen before for over a month. Nothing worked to catch it. It was caught and dispatched manually in the end. Everything about it was horrific. Massive. Almost two foot long!
