Ive just had a nice bath and pretending that the bottle of Malbec is not shouting me from downstairs…

So I’m looking for you excellent movie suggestions, gritty, moving, emotional, with complex layered characters and plots, I also like an inspirational movie (Hidden figures, King Richard, Society of Snow)

Dislike action, comedy, Sci-Fi/fantasy/time travel anything too cutesy.

I'm struggling with movies at the moment. Why not try binge-watch a decent tv series instead.

I'm watching the football. Saw the film Enigma recently & think you'd like it, if you haven't already seen it.

Uncut Gems on Netflix - bit of a stressful watch but Adam Sandler is great in it (plays a sleazy jewish jewellery dealer in NY). An outstanding performance from him.

Maiden on Netflix. Bloody brilliant and totally gripping.

Pride! Based on a true story, funny, moving and a fab 80s soundtrack. Also amazing cast.
