Hair Care Wavy Hair

Hi everyone,
This is a trivial question, but I wonder could anyone shed some light please?
My 5 year old daughter's hair would be described as wavy and fine. When she was a baby she had soft curls, but as she grew older the curls just remained at the bottom of her hair. She has had two haircuts and her hair has gotten straighter and straighter each time, but it's natural state is sort of wavy and kinky.
Having seen lots of videos online of people who didn't realise they had curly hair until they treated it properly, I think she might be one of those people.
Can anyone recommend how I should handle her hair. Is there a special shampoo I could use, or maybe a particular way of drying her hair?
I have always had poker straight hair so wouldn't know the first thing.
Her hair is beautiful either way but it would be a shame not to be treating her hair the properly.
Thanks

I expect that she basically has straight hair now that her baby curls have almost finished dropping out. There isn't really a shampoo or anything that can make waves where none exist, and I think that people who 'discover' they have curly hair just don't realise that physical changes like puberty or menopause can make hair grow waves when it used to be straight, and vice-versa.

For now I would keep the routine very simple and child-appropriate, just kids shampoo & conditioner along with regular trims.

If she chooses to cut her hair shorter in her teens it's possible that she will have grown waves and the reduced hair weight will show them better. But there's no guarantees.

@Dutch1e thanks for your advice. Is there any particular shampoo that you recommend in general? At the moment we are using the Child's Farm.

I haven't used that one but I'm sure it's fine. Any shampoo or conditioner that doesn't weigh down the hair (with creams/oils) are usually great.
