Just so unbelievably sad. 😢

I don't doubt she loved him
And it's absolutely tragic. The fact he won't linger on for years and years longer is a blessing in disguise sadly as being trapped in a body with no quality of life is even more unkind than being a carer is

So sorry. Poor Derek, for suffering this, but Kate was a complete heroine. I hope she knows how much her family's story has touched people from all corners. Sending love to Kate, Darcy and Billy.

Very sad for the family, but is it really that newsworthy to warrant two documentaries and the front page of The Sun today with four further inside pages. Lots of people lose their loved ones every day. Lots of people go above and beyond to try to make their dying loved ones last moments as comfortable as possible and yet Kate Is portrayed as some kind of saintly figure. Isn't it just what anyone would do?

It’s newsworthy because Kate’s in the public eye. It remained in the news because he was monumentally unlucky and people had become interested in how he was doing.

Yes. KG and DD highlighted the plight of all carers, the loved ones they care for and the impact on the whole family.

I'm glad they did.💞
