Headache, fever and joint/neck pain

My 6 yo DD had a headache at school yesterday afternoon but she's been fine when she came home, just a little under the weather. I gave her Calpol and lots of water, however just at bedtime she developed fever, 38.5°-39°. She's been miserable through the night and I gave her Ibuprofen and Calpol alternatively.

She is at home today with fever that's not very high, however she keeps saying her joints and neck hurt and still has a headache. I read these can be symptoms of viral meningitis. Anyone has any advice?

The GP has no appointments for this morning, but I can call at 1:30 again as they may have cancellations. I can also take her to a walk in centre. It's just that in my previous experience, if the symptoms only started a day before they just send us home with 'just rest, lots of water and Calpol'.

Anyone has any advice? I'm worried about her headache but she's not vomited yet, had eaten a little and is drinking water.

Best thing would be 111 or GP appointment, but just wanted to mention that I received an email from school today saying there's cases of mumps going round so could be that.
Kids can still get it even if they've had the MMR apparently.

Thank you. I haven't heard about Mumps being around but I'll keep that in mind. She seems ok-ish, just pain in her legs, joints and head, low grade fever.

Ring 111. If you get no success with them or have any doubts, A&E. Both my niece and DD were referred to A&E when they had suspected meningitis.
