What are your best energy boosting tips?

Really hoping for some tips or advice here!

I am returning to work full time next week to an on-your-feet, pretty hectic everyday kind of job. Have one 7yo and a 10 month old DD who is still fairly hit and miss when it comes to sleeping through the night. The last three nights/mornings she’s under the impression 4am is go time. My DH also works full time.

Fairly equal division of chores etc around the home although his job does require him to be away from home at least once, often twice a week (late nights home rather than staying away but he more or less misses the bedtimes etc on those days).

I am looking down the barrel of these long days and wondering about what I can best be doing to a) boost my energy levels through the day and b) maybe any tips for organisation that might help me to work smarter. I am generally a very organised person but wondering about anything anyone does that just takes the hassle out of any part of the day. I want to be able to make it to the evening with the energy to read with my DS and enjoy the time with him and be up in the night with DD and then repeat for 5 days a week.

Already cutting out sugar and a lot of processed foods, drinking more water etc. aiming to get to the gym once a week at the weekend as I know this would help.

Are there any great breakfasts for slow release energy? Snacks through the day? Any habits that I could try to build into my day to help? Things to avoid?

Although it is all so busy, I want to still feel like I’m able to enjoy my children and my home in the evenings and not just be dragging myself through til bedtime!

Thanks in advance!

Cutting sugar is very hard and your body won't give you the instant zing you're looking for so push ahead through the sugar withdrawals and know that better days will come!

Same with carbs!

Lots of vitamin C, B12 and iron.
