Fake Sleepyhead?

Hi everyone - a friend of mine very kindly passed on her Sleepyhead Deluxe to me, so that I can try to get 5 month old DD to nap during the day somewhere other than my arms.

I'm a bit worried though as when I took the cover off to wash it, it doesn't seem like the expensive, premium product I was expecting! I'm wondering if it's fake. Can anyone compare the photos to their own and give me their opinion as to whether it's genuine, please? Thank you!

I haven't got mine anymore to check the label but when I washed it it looked cheap and nasty inside. It was legitimate though (and worked wonderfully for DS)! Wash it on a very light wash though, mine was never the same after washing

It just looks like it's been used for a while and/or washed.

I'd argue that it's not really important whether it's genuine anyway, since there are no safety standards that apply to these products so nothing that it would be potentially failing to meet.

For supervised naps they are fine - I'd give it a go.

Thank you both - honestly if I'd paid for this as opposed to borrowing it, I'd be really disappointed, the cushion just feels so cheap and lumpy. Aren't they over £100 to buy? Confused

I'll give it a go . . . fingers crossed!

Yes they are insanely priced IMO!!

That is what happens to that kind of filling when it's been washed and/or used for a long time IME.

Morning, these unfortunately are not even recommended for supervised sleep as they pose a huge overheating risk which can be a contributing factor to SIDS.
