Do your patient toilets have toilet brushes in them? I've started in a place that has them in every patient bathroom. It seems so odd given how infection control are keen on single-use or single patient-items for the most part. Also, it seems like a recipe for disaster with some confused patients. Before anyone says anything, I've frequently seen patients urinate and defecate in the wrong place including on sleeping patients. I've seen all sorts of items used as weapons and missiles. I've seen people trying to wear, eat, drink and use all sorts of wrong items. So a toilet brush seems like an unnecessary hazard to have around!
