What’s your meal plan?

Trying to be healthier for 2024, put more effort into making nice healthy, but affordable meals. I’d like to buy a months worth of frozen stuff from Iceland, and top up weekly from Aldi or Lidl. I live by myself, but my boyfriend stays over 3 nights a week. What’s your weekly meal plan?

Hard to say. Have a sack of potatoes, so that's our chips for the week. Have eggs and some veg left over from last week. I shop at Sainsburys and bought some salad, veg and halloumi this week, but most of it was already in the freezer, fridge or cupboard. Also, I make bread, so that's just using flour from the cupboard. I batch make soup for lunch, so I bought some tomatoes and peppers for that, and we often have leftovers, or just beans or egg on toast for lunch.

I tend to plan around what we already have, but I always have some fish in the freezer. I batch cook lasagnes, pies, fishcakes, burgers etc most weekends, I'll make a batch of something, so we always have three or four meals that don't need much prep or thought.

Yes, but I don't have breakfast. Only soup for lunch. Need something to stop me being a heap on the floor!

I try to make sure salad or veg fill half the plate at least.

Haven't really made one.... but tonight it's home cooked ham with salad, and maybe a baked potato. Lunch is left over roast turkey with home made (low fat) coleslaw.
Tomorrow lunch will be left over ham with coleslaw, and it's likely to be the same for as long as the ham lasts, but I have some really good ham stock so I'm going to make a vegetable soup as well.. Not sure about the evening... Maybe chunky cod fillet in breadcrumbs and veg.
Evening meals will be a variation of lean meat and veg/salad with extras for DH, such as chips, roast potatoes, yorkshires, sauces. I will probably make a chicken curry one night and have that with half a naan and extra veg.
Sorry - I'm not being much help am I!
