Other than BBQ, as I'm trying to keep sugars low and I haven't got the ingredients for BBQ sauce.

I was going to do a paprika sauce that I usually cook legs in, but I haven't got chicken legs and now don't think that sauce will work.

I could just do crispy baked wings and franks/butter sauce, but thats a bit boring.

So, how do you like your wings?

I have a dry wing recipe which is really tasty. Depending on how many wings you need to marinate you may need 1/2-2 or 3 teaspoons of the following:-

Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Smoked Paprika
Cayenne or Chilli powder or flakes (optional if you don't like heat)
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder

Stick wings in a sealable bag or tub, drizzle a bit of oil over, pour mixture over and massage wings until all covered. I marinate mine overnight but I don't think that's essential. I cook on Gas 6 until done, or they come out great done under the grill. Air fryer also works!

I blitz
Chilli
Garlic
Onion
Ginger
And rub onto wings

I did saucy wings, I slightly adapted a recipe I normally use for chicken legs, paprika chicken:

Brown/crisp wings.
Add chicken wings to oven dish.
Pour over small amount of oil.
Sprinkle smoked and hot paprika, oregano, thyme, s&p, chilli flakes and stir/coat.
Put in oven.
Make up chicken stock cube & Maggi cube.
Chop onion, garlic, green pepper.
Heat butter, add onion, then green pepper.
Cook til almost soft.
Add a handful of frozen chopped red & green pepper.
Add garlic, cook.
Add smoked paprika, salt, pepper.
Pour stock into pan, stir, cook slightly.
Add yoghurt, stir.
Take chicken wings out of oven.
Pour sauce over wings & add bay leaf.
Put back in oven & cook til sauce is nice consistency and wings are cooked.

Air fryer for wings

Usually do cajun seasoning and olive oil, air fry until bubbly about 20 mins

Or honey garlic wings (not exactly sugar)
Marinate wings in garlic granules, onion granules, season all, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper

Pop into any fryer mixed crushed garlic, dijon mustard, splash of soya sauce and honey and coat wings for the last 8 mins of cooking. Two minutes before their finished brush over the rest of mix and blast of two minutes to get them extra sticky.
