Best mattress?

What is the best mattress from your experience? I'd like one for king size bed. Ideally orthopaedic with motion isolation and quite thick, 25cm+.
What are ok brands to look at and what to avoid? They are quite pricey so don't want to make an expensive mistake.
I'm looking at rem fit. Are they worth it?

We bought a Tempur mattress early December. Included 2 Tempur pillows. Total cost £2k 😱
I was an extremely restless sleeper and could never get pillow/s right.
This mattress is FANTASTIC. Worth every penny. I absolutely love it and the pillow is so so perfect. I am getting far better quality sleep. I still have insomnia but at least I rest rather than thrash around.
Mattress could be returned anytime between 30 and 100 days for a full refund.
It has a zip off cover for easy washing and we also bought a topper into that price.

I loved my Tempur mattress too. People often find them warm.
But new DP a large person and it didn't work for him, needs something firm. So also looking for advice on motion isolating that isn't foam.

I have an M&S natural fibre one with integral down topper.

@caramac04 oh sounds great but for the price 😅 but I'm intending to use it for the next 10 years so can justify that.

What model do you have?

And thanks for sharing cause I have never heard of them

I love my Simba foam mattress. Really nice and firm.

We’ve had it for 4 years. DH is 6ft 3 and weighs a lot. There’s no dents on his side of the bed, no dip in the middle. And cant feel any movement at all when he turns over etc.

Haven’t had a tempur mattress to compare it though.

Tempur cloud pillows however.. amazing. Worth every extortionate penny.

We have a Kensington 6000 mattress. It is an absolute beast but so comfy. Completely inflexible though so must ensure the route to the bedroom has enough clearance (learnt through bitter experience). We also have an Emma mattress which we didn't 100% follow the aftercare on and it has dipped in the middle. Go to a showroom and test some out, find what suits.

Oh no showrooms around. I'm in a very little town

We bought a Vispring - king size, but split into two separate mattresses to minimise disturbance to each other when we turn over. It was delivered in early December and it's just so comfortable - £3k well spent.

I have a hypnos ortho gold, can't remember the price probably around 2k .. I topped it with an alpaca mattress topper by hypnos (a little pricey but 100% worth it). absolutely wonderful and I have issues with joint pain and this mattress has really helped

May I ask which mattress you chose in the end please. Trying to decide.
