Wellingtons that are comfortable but don't leak?

Can anyone recommend wellington boots that are good for longish distance walks but are decent enough quality not to leak after a month or so?
I am aware hunter wellies have gone down the pan since outsourcing manufacturing to east Asia so I'm not looking at that brand.
Looking at fitflop, evercreatures, joules, bogs... But they all seem to leak based on reviews.

I got a pair of le chameau wellies a few years ago. They are very comfortable and I use them for walking the dog in bad weather. So far they haven't leaked and I've had them around 3 years.

TenPenceMix · 04/01/2024 06:55

Muckboots but size up!

Zoologydragon · 04/01/2024 06:56

I've had horrendous leaking issues with muck boots. I went through 4 pairs in 2 years so gave up. I have aigle parcours iso 2 now and they're amazing. They're in the midst of their third winter and still going strong.

Go to a chandlery and get proper fishermen’s wellies.

LeroyJenkinssss · 04/01/2024 06:59

So not good looking but surprisingly comfortable and definitely don’t leak - Dunlop wellies, picked up at our local farm store. Wear for trudging through our flooded fields and all off lead dog walks.

I have a pair of old Hunters and will actually wear the dunlops in preference!

muddlingthrou · 04/01/2024 07:18

I have to wear fitflop as I've got issues with arthritis on my feet, and have resigned myself to the fact that they only last one winter before leaking... so definitely not them!

Bemyclementine · 04/01/2024 07:24

Aigle, I've had these 5 years I think. Worn for walking, riding, mucking out etc. Walked 4 miles in them on Sunday and still good as new. Comfy, warm, no leaks. Worn daily for around 8 months of the year. These are the pretty standard version. No zip or vent.

Second agile. I have the neoprene ones. Warm, super comfy and do not leak.

PointeShoesandTutus · 04/01/2024 07:37

Aigle. I have the neoprene lined ones, they're on their 4th winter of pretty constant use. Comfy enough to walk a good few miles in.

Muck boots

Shudacudawuda · 04/01/2024 07:42

I love my Muck Boots, they're so comfy.
That said, I'm on my 3rd pair due to the previous 2 pairs splitting and leaking - that was after about a year of daily use though.
Might give Aigle a try next, not seen them before.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 04/01/2024 07:44

Grubs Frostline boots as recommended on here.
Ended up buying them in a tractor shop, so if they’re good enough for farmers I reckon they’re good enough for doggy dog walks!
Neoprene lined, fit my chunky calves, and comfy for long walks.

Nix32 · 04/01/2024 08:00

I found Muckboots really heavy and uncomfortable.

Tried on a pair of Le Chameau wellies the other day with felt amazing - so soft and pliable they felt like a second skin. Think they'd be comfy but not sure if they'd be warm enough.

Xiaoxiong · 04/01/2024 08:05

I have had just two pairs since we got DDog1 in 2015 and DDog 2 this year. They were Aigle and Le chameau boots - both good for miles of daily dog walking without a split. I only had to replace the Aigle parcours because I left them at a holiday let and they disappeared 😭

piebald · 04/01/2024 08:07

Dunlop universal plain green and cheap, I walk miles in mine on rough tracks and boggy ground

Manif3st101 · 04/01/2024 08:12

I have the Aigle neoprene boots, they must be 8 years old and still good as new - I wear them every day in the winter to walk the dogs.

barkymcbark · 04/01/2024 08:14

I got a pair of Dublin country boots which are waterproof up to my ankle. I walk miles in them with the dog, had them for 6 years now and still going strong

twistyizzy · 04/01/2024 08:17

Aigle Parcours (even better the ISO ones). I wear them twice a day, 365 days a year. Remember though it is partly how you look after them, rubber degrades so keep them in a cool, dry place and hose mud etc off after use. Don't keep them in warm places such as next to a boiler/radiator
