Removing smoke smell from visiting family

I have to regularly visit family who smoke, it’s like walking onto an 80’s style smoking room. I leave stinking of cigarettes, clothes, hair etc.

Any tips for this other than going immediately home to change/shower? Obviously the most effective solution, but there’s only so many hours in the day and it’s a huge logistical problem.

Take a change of clothes and wear a hair scarf?

Dry shampoo and a change of clothes? Febreeze?

I once left a relatives house, went to Asda across the road, and bought a top to change into in the toilets because I couldn’t bear to smell so badly.

Take a change of clothes and put your hair up into a baseball cap. Take it off, dry shampoo your hair and change clothes when you leave.
