I recently got the contraceptive implant but have been bleeding non stop ever since, today my doctor gave me a prescription for rigevidon, I haven't ever been on the combination pill before and am a bit worried about side effects, have you or anyone you know ever had blood clots or anything whilst being on it? Thanks in advance.

It’s more important what your risk is than anyone’s story. Eg are you a smoker, overweight, sendentary etc.

people rarely comment saying ‘I took it for years - no problem’ or ‘all mates have been fine’ but much more common to post a ‘horror’ story - which is a rare occurrence!

will those stories help you?

try looking at your ow risk profile and work out what feels ‘acceptable’ to you

Hi 👋🏼. I was on this for 25 years, break for 4 kids. 3 years ago I had multiple blood clots on both lungs. Never had covid jab. Was very ill with it and very painful. Doctor blamed the pill. Not a smoker or drinker, I'm average weight. Do your research before you make any decisions. x

Hi

I hope it’s ok to bump this post.
I just started rigevidon. It was prescribed to stop my periods, I was told to take it continuously. It’s been 4 months and my bleeding is longer and heavier than before.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks in advance.
