Looking to go away this year but I'm slowing losing the plot and I'm sure whilst there are some great deals out there now the Internet knows I want a holiday it's hiding them from me. 😆 So I thought I'd come looking for some help as I know you lovely vipers are amazing at this stuff.

We have a few requirements but are generally not too fussy I don't think.

. We are looking for a week away
. Ideally in term time to help keep costs down
. 3 people (2 adults and one 4 year old)
. We need to bring the dog along.
. Budget up to £650
. Ideally a lodge type holiday as I don't like people. 🤣
. Anywhere in the UK. DH would like Northumberland but I'm not bothered.

Any help would be great we've done a forest holiday before which was lovely and peaceful but I think this time we could do with a few more amenities e.g a play area or pool for the 4 year old.

Generally open to anything though and thank you in advance. 🙂

No specific dates in mind but work wise May or June would be easier. We are fortunately pretty flexible though.

Edited

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll take a look. Very posh sounds nice but truthfully as long as there's a bed to fall into after a long day of exploring the place could be rough and ready and I'd be quite content. 😅

I think your budget may be an issue, though we’ve had some good budget air bnb’s that gave accepted dogs. Re using amenities you’ll probably find you aren’t allowed to take the dog to them, and you can’t leave them unattended in the accommodation. This restricts all activities and also where you can eat I’ve found.
If you end up coastal, check the rules for restrictions for dogs on beaches.
if anyone knows of anywhere you can leave a well behaved dog alone in the accommodation please let ms know!

My ds and dil return here every year for short break with their 7 and 3 year olds and the dog. They have cottages and lodges. The dc love the small pool. There is a games room although I think that’s more for the adults. There is a small play area for the kids, a fairy woods and a large grass area. Not too far from several beaches.

LANCOMBE COUNTRY COTTAGES & LODGES

With a beautiful countryside setting, in Thomas Hardy Country, you are assured of a rural get-away like no other. Lancombe is quite simply unique in being able to offer something for everyone; whether a relaxing retreat, or activity-fuelled fun.

Sorry I can't help with somewhere you can leave the dog unfortunately.

We're quite happy to split so one of us with is with DS and the other with the dog whilst using amenities and cook at the accomodation if we can't find anywhere to eat with the dog but DS would be just as content with a bag of chips on a bench so fortunately it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Appreciate all the advice though.

This looks very sweet. I'll check it out on the computer later as the booking part of the website doesn't seem to like my phone. 😅

Here is a link to a holiday venue just down the road from the one listed above. Only Two cottages. (I don’t like people either 😉). Suitable for children and dogs. Enclosed gardens. A woodland walk on site plus a large field to run around. It’s a non working farm. Chickens are in an enclosed area and fresh eggs are available daily. Plenty of local woods and beautiful, dog friendly beaches to explore.

Aberdwylan is my most favourite place to take my GC. They love it. The owners - Chris and Lauren - have two little ones who are up for a run around the field with little visitors too 😊
