Getting photos off my old iPhones (not backed up)

I have multiple old iPhones which I've been really stupid with and not backed up and now they won't turn on.

I took them to an IT repair place who said the battery would need replacing to turn it on again. I just wondered if it's worth it as in will it actually work, can it definitlty be done with older iPhones and if there's any other method of getting the photos off?

Realise this all could've been prevented if I'd backed up phone and I'm doing that with latest but really would be grateful if anyone had any advice what would work re the old phones.

Thank you very much in advance

Did you save them on the sim cards

It should be straightforward then to recover the photos if you get the battery replaced

I know on computers there’s a removable part that would store pictures and videos but not sure about iPhones. I heard the FBI couldn’t access information on one without the passcode

There's no other way to get the photos back if it's not backed up. You would have to replace the battery, get onto the phone and then transfer them to your new phone.
