If you've had a really good New Years Eve or Day with young kids what have you been doing? North Scotland, always celebrated new year massively growing up and pre children, for as long's i remember it was always at least 2/3 days of parties, visiting friends/family etc, children too. Dc are 2 and 4 so we decided we would just have a quiet one and not really celebrate, got in some pizza and had a bottle of wine once kids were in bed but today feel a bit depressed about it all. Just wondering what others do so we can hopefully plan something for next year. Children will be 3 and almost 6 by then

So we tend to invite family to mine. My sons 8 we use to put him to bed but last year we let him stay up. We did a buffet, played party games musical statues etc and card games like uno , at around 10 ish he went and chilled in our room with tv and we played some games. He came down intermittently and we went to see him. We saw new year in watched fireworks and put him to bed. We stayed up til 2ish

Party! I usually have it at mine so we can do an early countdown with Dd (YouTube previous years countdown 😅) and get her into bed and then have friends over for wine and takeout. Lots of fun.
