Cafe near Manchester airport

Dropping dd off next week to begin her gap year travels (eek!) We would like to call somewhere and have a lovely coffee and snack before saying goodbye at the airport. Don't know the area so wondering if anyone has any suggestions. It will be mid afternoon so we won't need a full meal, and we both love visiting coffee shops so it would be really nice if this was our last 'thing' before she heads off. Ideally not just a Costa or anything, maybe somewhere independent? Happy to be within about 15 minutes drive of the airport, we'll be coming from the north. Not sure if there's anywhere that fits the bill but thought I would put it out on here to see if anyone local was able to point us to anywhere. Thank you!

There are cafes in the arrivals part at the airport

Juniper in Hale village - nice independent and about 15 mins away

Wilmslow has a few nice cafes, there's Alty Market in Altrincham or Flour, Water, Salt in Macclesfield.

Loads of places in Wilmslow/Hale, e.g. Juniper.

Hale and Hale Barns are very close and have some nice options. They are digging up lots of roads in the area at the moment so check first and give yourselves plenty of time to get to the airport.

Yes juniper in Hale is lovely. Lots of nice places in Altrincham for coffee too - blanchflower, toast, the market.

My favourite is Gran T's in altrincham:

It's very near a big Tesco with 3 hours free parking and about 15 minutes from the airport.

Gran Ts or toast in Altrincham are good independents.
The cafe in booths in hale barns is also quite good. or there’s a cafe at the airport viewing park nearby.

Thank you so much, some great suggestions here to look up, it sounds like the Hale area could be good.
