I hate this time of year as just find it so boring and also my anxiety kicks in about what could go wrong this year, we are all getting older, I'm seeing my kids less and less etc.

And literally what's there to look forward to apart from going back to work? And genuinely, this is the only thing I'm looking forward to!!

Have you all got lovely things happening this year?

I know I need to be more positive!!

Can you try to plan at least one thing each month to look forward to? Doesn’t have to be anything big even a plan to meet your child for a walk somewhere! A way to find positives

@Sirzy I only see my eldest (16) EOW and he's at that age where he just wants to stay in his room and chat with his mates so don't really have much of a relationship with him to be honest 😞

Hubby has booked a night away in Feb which will be nice (first time away without our daughter and she's 3.5!!) but worry that it will all end up as a bit of an anticlimax when we actually go!

I think you're right though - it's the little things I need to find more joy in 😀

Can you afford to put £1-2 a day away and then treat yourself to something nice for yourself at the end of the month?

@iklboo Aw that's a lovely idea - thank you. I did go to the sales but as always ended up treating the kids!!
