Anybody work in NHS HR?

I’ve been very poorly in pregnancy with HG, and just trying to figure out if/when my mat pay will be impacted and if I may need to take early mat leave (which I’d rather avoid if possible!).

Does a month usually refer to a calendar month or 4 weeks? Is 6 months full pay 26 weeks or 6 calendar months (and so the number of weeks variable depending on the month)?

Policies are not clear and neither is my manager, any help appreciated! I have also tried ACAS who didn’t know. Thanks.

In most NHS trusts, pregnancy-related absence doesn't count towards sickness triggers and won't affect pay. Please check your Attendance Management
Policy and Maternity Policy to confirm.

Hope you feel better soon.
