What films do you think cross the line between an actual film and just pure horror pornographry towards brutality?

I watched it thinking it could be a good feminist film against rapists but tbh, it’s was very graphical. From the actual rape to the revenge.

I can’t watch hostel, too much gratuitous violence and torture.

Why, exactly, are we being encouraged to discuss this genre first thing on NYD?

I hate films that are violent just for the sake of it, I do love a good horror though.

This film has always stayed with me. A certain scene involving sexual assault. Had to stop watching. Why.

I don't class those types of film as horror to be honest, a lot of it is just torture porn really isn't it? Let's face it if I want to see people hurting each other (I don't) then I can just watch the news. Horror, for me, must have some kind of supernatural element.

I haven't seen it but I did make the mistake of reading the synopsis on Wikipedia (and I apologize to those who will probably go and read it as a result of this) after seeing it mentioned on another thread and I think A Serbian Film would have to be the worst one.
