NYE in London

Has anyone stayed in London in a hotel or apartment for NYE and watched the fireworks from there instead of outside? Can anyone recommend anything?

Or able to talk me out of it, ha ha!

Had FOMO watching it on tv; would not like to be outside with the DCs, but ideally would love to watch it from inside.

Had a look online but range of choice and prices is beguiling. Would be grateful for any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks

Blimey, you're organised!

I can imagine it would be a second mortgage to book a hotel there on NYE.

Our head office is there and just getting a room during the year, is eye watering.

There's a Premier Inn right next to the London Eye.

Wow, just checked out of curiosity and it seems to only be £106 on New Year's Eve for a double room.

You'd be so lucky to get a window facing the right way though.

I've never tried this but I discovered during the Golden Jubilee that quite a few companies with venues that have a good view hire them out for this sort of thing.

I guess with the Premier inn it would be worth seeing if they can guarantee a room with a view. I think it's a great idea.
