At what point does an ELCS get booked in?

I mentioned this to the consultant when I was around 26 weeks but she said it was too soon to start thinking about booking anything in. I've not had another consultant appointment since as had no complications during this pregnancy as I did with my first, so I have pretty much been left to it and have only seen the midwife at my routine appointments. My next appointment is at the 34 week mark which will be the end of January.

I'm starting to get anxious now as it's getting close, and I'd like to get prepared as much and have a date booked.

Should it have been booked in already or is it too soon still?

I was booked in from 20 weeks, it was scheduled for exactly 39 weeks. I went into labour at 38+5 and had an emergency c section.
