Please tell me your top tips for keeping organised for 2024. I have 3 small children and a potential house move and I feel like I am absolutely drowning. I know the obvious thing is to declutter which we are doing but I’m interested to know your other tips for keeping on top of it all.

Calendar up on the wall in the kitchen. Put everything in there and on your phone.

Weekly discussion on Sundays with partner and kids, if old enough, about what's going on that week and who needs to do what. My kids are fab at reminding me about school stuff.

Discuss a menu plan for the week during that time too. Everyone should know what's on the menu and everyone can choose a meal. Do the shopping for it.

Everyone tidy up at the end of the day. This includes bedrooms. All dirty laundry in the laundry bin, clean put away, a wash ready to go first thing. So quick when everything is done daily.

Everything ready for the next day including bags, clothes, any food prep or defrosting stuff.

Meal planning definitely. Throwing old clothes out as you come across them, not putting them back.

Telling Alexa to add things to the shopping list
Always a bowl of hot soapy water before you start cooking
A bag with make up remover, pads, night cream and handcream in the lounge to use whilst watching TV in the evenings
Meal plan by doing a pasta night, potato night, soup night, rice night, vegetarian night and fish night - take away on the 7th.

What do you have on a potato night?

@coodawoodashooda could be ham, egg and chips, jacket with chilli or tuna, sausage and mash, shepherds pie, hot pot, lamb chops or roast chicken with roasties, salmon and new potatoes, chicken thighs and wedges...

It's not fool proof but it stops us having pasta four times a week etc, it just helps me when I'm trying to work out what we'll be eating for the week because if I ask anyone else what they want to eat, they just say "I don't mind, you choose" 🤬
