I arnt sure if its best place to post but im just curious as to if these have helped with panic attacks mainly at night?
I have nocturnal panic attacks and I am being woken up by them several times a night! My gp prescribed these but due to an adverse reaction to sertraline in the past I feel scared to try them as the side effects were intolerable at the time!
also interested in alternatives if anyone has any suggestions
im currently doing Cbt and feel like it is helping

Propranolol used to give me very vivid nightmares if taken before bed. I wake up terrified. It is listed as a side effect

Oh that’s interesting it’s kind of why I need it! Not to cause that but to prevent that!

I take both daily and have never had any problems with them. Propanalol enables me to go out without panic attacks now

Yes propanol is great for daytime but I learned the hard way about nightmares and racing thoughts at night and it didn't help the anxiety.

When I first started citalapram I had some mild sertraline-like side effects for about 4 weeks then they went away.

Changing from sertraline after 10 tears at 200mg was the best decision I ever made. Oh and paying for a private psychotherapist once a week is money well spent.

I have finally changed my life and safriced other things I would usually buy monthly.

Agree it's great for day time
