What on earth is this mark? We brush her teeth twice a day, no knocks or anything. Should i take her to the dentist? We only had a check up in November and all fine.

She's 2 years old if that is relevant

It looks like hypoplasia where the enamel either hasn’t formed correctly or was weak in the first place and has worn away.
My DC had this on their baby teeth and the dentist coated it with a white filling type material to stop it getting worse and so it looked better. Their adult teeth have all been fine whereas I’ve got it on four side teeth.

Does she has an overbite?
if so… Is her bottom tooth / teeth touching her top tooth when her mouth is closed / at rest?

it could be tooth grinding and the enamel has worn away / she’s made a hole in the enamel. I did this (in reverse) as I have an underbite

2 is probably a bit young for wear and tear 😅 so ignore me

Initially I just thought cavity, but ah yes could be hypoplasia. I had that as a kid (4 root canals, 2 on the same tooth, even had a pin in a tooth once to keep the filling in as there was such little tooth left. Eventually tooth taken out and had abscesses all over the root!) It was TOTALLY fine and I was way less stressed about it all than I would be now as an adult 😄 kids are crazy like that. No problems at all with my adult teeth, not a single filling in my head!

Definitely get to your dentist so they can try and prevent it getting worse. They also coated my DC teeth in a fluoride(?) solution to help strengthen them.
Take heart in what @BingoMarieHeeler said, one of my DC fell asleep while the “filling” was happening!

Ok i will book her a dentist appointment when they open on Tuesday. Fortunately we have an NHS dentist and take full and regular advantage of this!!

Another vote for hypoplasia. Did she have a lot of antibiotics as a baby?
