NYE - what food to buy in?

Going out with a curry with some friends, then back to ours, I guess around 11pm. All couples are always very generous foodwise when hosting. Obviously I don't need to worry about loads as we're eating out, but I feel I want to have something to offer them on return.

Half wondering whether to buy a couple of savoury nibbles and some desserts as none of us will have eaten them after our curry. What would you buy? Open to ideas

at the time? just have champagne chilled and some chocolates (ooh maybe strawberries dipped in chocolate)

Honestly after a curry I'm generally absolutely stuffed to bursting and couldn't eat anything more. Maybe some nice chocolates - but I wouldn't worry too much as I can't see anyone eating much at 11pm after an Indian dinner out. I'd just make sure I had lots of fizz chilling in the fridge to pop at midnight. Depending on how late you are staying up a bacon sandwich for the early hours before bed.

A good box of choc, some dates and some Turkish delight. Or a selection of baklava. Maybe some nuts or Bombay mix.
