Anyone still up?

My sleeping schedule is completely out of whack so I'll probably go to sleep 5am and wake at midday. It'll get better when projects resume in January.

Neighbour is whistling. I know him fairly well and his schedule, he should be asleep by now. He's a terrible whistler!!

Ugh, I thought it was just me! I was falling asleep at 9 yet I've been wide awake for hours now!

I fell asleep at 18:00 when I finished wfh and woke up at midnight just as DD arrived home from a night out.
Then BF, who has his kids, called at 01:00 because he couldn’t sleep. So now I haven’t got back to sleep and am lying here wondering if I should just get up and start my day.

It’s only 10 here but I’ve been staying up to the wee hours all Xmas break. Don’t know why. H is a terrible one for whistling, at leasT he goes to bed early

My father whistled, well.

I'm not cross with neighbour at all, this means he's happier, he's had a terrible time at Xmas with family (father bipolar, drinking too much, gets into rages) and came back early looking stressed out. Actually I did start a thread about this as I'd gently asked him if his mother would leave and he seemed surprised at the idea. I absolutely know what MN would say if his mother posted!

I'm still up as I have a cold and suffer from insomnia anyway.

I've had 45mins sleep tonight and have just been packaging all my eBay sales ready to go to the post office tomorrow. Can guarantee DP will forget to swap over the kids' car seats in his rush to get to work so I won't be able to take the parcels anyway 😄

I've loaded the dishwasher and set that off but everything else that needs doing is too noisy and will wake the kids.

Kids will wake between 7 and 7:30 I expect, so might manage an hour sleep between then and now if I'm lucky.

I've been awake for about an hour and a half. Some up because I needed to go to the loo and that some me up thoroughly. Hopefully I will be asleep again around 5.00 .....

Yes, very strong words!! I think the thread was titled something like how you know someone has never been on MN.

I think I must be around his mother's age so he finds me non-threatening and will chat.

That's annoying.

I'm still not sleepy so may put the kettle on. Hot drink and watching something might do the trick.

Have you tried some hot milk with honey?

Have been up since 3 after about 2 hours sleep in total. DS is going through a shit sleeping phase and I'm losing the will to live.
Can't put the tv on as it'll wake him so I'm sat in the dark scrolling on Mumsnet!
Always nice to know I'm not the only one up.

Yes I'm up. One.of.my children got a hamster for Christmas. It's running on the wheel at night constantly.

I was asleep but DH has woken me three times now with his snoring - can't seem to get back to sleep after this last wake. Lying here looking at cute little houses on Rightmove that I could live in by myself with the dog. Leave DH, his snoring & his garage full of shit behind! 🙄

Ahh, same as me. All out of sync!
Not a cold here, don't know what it was - severe stomach pain, sore throat, complete loss of appetite. I'll have to research if there are any appetite increasing meds

Stomach pain is gone, it's complete loss of appetite I'm worried about. I'll ask for a callback from gp first thing.

It's probably a bit late but may I invite you to try the Christmas Puzzle on the main thread. It might help to take your mind of things - or fall asleep with boredom!
