9yo birthday party ideas

Could I please have some ideas of what your turning-9 year old boys have enjoyed for their birthday party? He would be inviting up to 10-15 friends/cousins (mix of boys & girls). Flexible budget but not horrendously expensive.

It’s for a winter birthday so outdoor options aren’t likely to be popular (shame as a nature reserve near us does fab den building and campfire parties).

We’ve done trampoline parks twice so I’m looking for other ideas first before we revert to that. Also not soft play either as he has outgrown that sort of thing.

Mine have been invited to gokarting parties that went down very well. Also football if there's an indoor place anywhere near you. Cinema if there happens to be something good on.

We did laser quest when my DS was 9. The easiest most low maintenance party ever and the kids all loved it!

We had an animal roadshow in our living room for ds's 9th, with about 10 children. Luke Quirk (memorable name 😄) brought 9 or 10 animals including a pigmy albino hedgehog, a giant millipede and a giant Belgian bunny. The kids (and the adults) could handle as many or as few as they wanted, and after the animal handling session they washed hands and had pizza and cake. Everyone had a brilliant time. Highly recommended.
