Android Users Are Uncool?

According to some clickbait article if a man has an Android phone, lots of women will regard him as naff/ineligible.

Does it work the same way if you are a woman who does not have an iPhone?

I couldn't give a bugger what phone a man has. I probably don't even notice in most cases. If someone thinks I'm uncool for not having a massively expensive phone, they can jog their stupid, shallow arse on!

I'm guessing that the article was American. I would take it with a pinch of salt. Americans are weird about iPhones.

I believe it depends on the age of the phone owner. The younger you are, the more likely that you own an iPhone. The older you are, the more likely you are to own an A droid.

Could not care less. I'm 34 and never had an iphone. Apparently the battery life is shit and I don't care about looking "cool".

I'd not have thought anyone with much intellect or much about them would really meaningfully care, would they? a preference, sure - to attach that sort of thing to it though just smacks of insecurity and desperation to fit in, which is far bigger of an ick than what operating system ones tech has.

I've always used android, just prefer it. I probably am the only one I can think of my age who doesn't use an iphone and just couldn't care less. It's not like I can't easily go and get an iphone if I want to is it, the whole thing's just daft.

Surely noone actually cares about this sort of stuff? If they do, I don't really mind if they think my Android phone is uncool. They can stay away from me with their shallowness.

Our dd told us today most of the other engineers/tech types she knows have some sort of android. Mainly to do with prototyping apps on android before iOS or something.
So she probably thinks they're cooler but others maybe think they're geeky?Confused

Probably because if you're older, you've still got a memory of having a 3GS for £19.99 a month for a year because it wasn't the newest one, rather than the current contracts which are ridiculous lengths.

We only have android phones in our family. My teenagers have no inclination to have apple products.
