Expensive car insurance

I never really worry when I receive the renewal price for my car as I follow Martin Lewis' guide and get my insurance at least £100 cheaper. This year renewal was the usual daft price but the price comparison sites are quoting similar figures. Same for my son's car.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes - can't remember the exact amount as I've binned the paperwork, but my renewal premium had gone up something ridiculous like £200 - this was with Direct Line. Same as you, I was getting quotes for similar prices when I shopped around. Did manage to get it with the AA though for around £50 more than last year and that was the best I could find. (Well, there were a couple a wee bit cheaper but they were with companies I'd never heard of which put me off going with them).

That and house insurance has gone up massively recently. They won't even reduce it if you phone them anymore.
