Any dentists or tooth experts about? Broken tooth query

My molar, which has a filling, appears to have broken next to where it joins to the tooth in front. I can see the filling inside. I have no pain, and was wondering if this is something that can wait until next week to get sorted. Or will it likely start to bother me soon.
Thanks!

I had exactly this a few weeks ago. It didn’t hurt at all as it was a root canal filled tooth so there was no live nerve (as I understand).

it was a pain only because it was sharp and my tongue kept going to it. I kept it extra clean and visited my dentist about a week later when I could get a slot.

It was fine to be built up using a white compound - it looked better afterwards as it used to look quite grey. I did get a bit of an ‘itch’ in the tooth afterwards but it’s fully settled now.

I think you’d know if the nerve was affected, you’d have pain. Still try and get to a dentist asap though as any open teeth risk an infection

Get it fixed as soon as possible and be thorough (and gentle) about cleaning.

It's a risk for bacteria getting into the open tooth and causing a lot of problems.

Could quite possibly be repaired, or crowned but get it seen quickly.

Thanks, my usual dentist is closed until the 3rd, so I should be ok to take care of it carefully and keep an eye on it until then?

My filling fell out a few weeks ago and it was fine for a couple of weeks until I got to the dentist.

I would get a filling repair kit and wait a week or two to see the dentist
