im beyond excited now. Jarvis Cocker is waiting to entertain me. Pulp are my favourite band so to see them on what has been a challenging year to wave it out is perfect. And I’ll think about my next lot of treatment when the time comes. I know the weather will be rubbish so I. Just packing practical with some sparkly jewellery. We are going somewhere called Meze Meze tomorrow night and the plan is to get a late breakfast NYE. Its my first time to go NYE so I dont know if its going to be hard or not. We are staying at Nether Bakehouse. Thanks!

Warm welcome to you! I may be biased as I live here but catching a 26 bus to Portobello and having breakfast at one of the beachfront cafes is lovely. Whatever the weather 😅

Loudons isn't far from you and I've never had a bad breakfast there.
We were in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and had a delicious brunch at Brewhemia! It is a beautiful setting but it wasn't cheap! Just stay away from the pear and vanilla cocktail. It tasted of neither pear nor vanilla. It was more like de-icer!

Yes I think Loudons at about 11 then we will mooch around? It looks like we are staying near the park. Any shops to recommend? Sounds daft but I want some coasters for my new table. We used to go to Portobello as children as that’s where grandparents lived in a stately home near by. They were the caretakers Linlithgow??

Have just checked the Lothian buses app and says they are running on NYD. There were certainly buses running on Christmas Day. x

SuitYouSir · 29/12/2023 12:26

Oh and you can also grab a 19 depending where you’re picking it up. Recommend the bus app for up to date times, delays etc.

EachandEveryone · 29/12/2023 12:37

It looks like a straight twenty minute walk to the concert maybe there will be a bus up and down it looks like a main road. Youve all being very helpful. I was told I must be mad going for New Year but you only live once, eh?

Happy Hogmanay! It’s a beautiful day here in Edinburgh today, you got very lucky 😎

Yes and I think we will get a good view of Pulp it might be misleading but the standing area doesn’t look that big? Bumped into Richard Hawley last night and he’s really looking forward to playing. He came up to us and we had a good laugh. If it had been Jarvis I would’ve been all tongue tied and red. I wonder where the bands stay it won’t be this apartment that’s for sure. You must all have fabulous legs it’s hard work😂😂
