Working as an ‘extra’ (acting)

Anyone done/do this or have any advice?

Its nof for me it’s a friend’s DD but they don’t really know where to start other than googling agencies and are obviously nervous about scams.

It is a few years back (5 or 6) but I had a go with it once. It was something for the BBC and I was hired by the Casting Collective who were very good.
Really looked after us and paid promptly.
I'd do it again if there was any filming near me!

A friend of mine works for Mint Casting, has done bits of work for them for about 30 years, since a major tv series was filmed in her village.
