I’m 50 and fat. 4 adults living at home and 3 out of the 4 of us are overweight.
I tend to cook carb heavy, stodgy meals, think Spag Bol, Lasagne, Curries, Chilli and things I can chuck in the slow cooker.
Snacks and lunches are always carb based so sandwiches, crisps, biscuits with a cuppa etc. None of us like fruit much.
I will occasionally cook lighter meals like fish, quinoa and veg but that’s maybe once a week at the most.
we’ve lost the way with food - myself and DD would eat salads but the men don’t want that in the winter especially. I find that choosing healthy lunches for work are the hardest.
Can anyone suggest better ways of eating, lunches, better snacks to have in the house etc. Money for food thankfully isn’t an issue and I’m happy to spend a little longer preparing food, especially if the meals can go in the slow cooker the night before (we all work full time).
