I'm desperate to find these Teddies- anyone want a challenge?

Dd 20 has had this pink bear since she was born. She still sleeps with it on her bed and he's travelled the world (well all inclusives in Spain) and features in countless family pictures.

Dd has recently discovered that her pink bear has white, yellow and blue siblings and she's desperate to get them all.

He was bought as a gift but from googling he seems to be a Chad valley at Woolworths bear. Hers has "my first bear" on his foot but I've come across images where the text is over both paws or no text at all.

He is soft and bendable, there is a similar bear that looks more sturdy but that one won't do.

Unfortunately the bears seem to have a bit of a cult following and the only white one I've seen is over £100 Confused

I'm wondering if any mumsnetters may have the blue, white or yellow in their house or be able to find them online. I'm willing to pay... just not over £100

Don’t be a bitch @PamelaParis , it’s probably safe to assume that OP’s daughter has reasons for acting younger than their age.

Good luck, op.

People can get enjoyment out of whatever they like at any age as long as it's not hurting anyone.

Nasty and unnecessary

Laiste · 28/12/2023 13:07

Should people only collect age appropriate things now? 😂

The one that needs to grow up here is you

Teddysearcher24 · 28/12/2023 16:06

God here was me all excited that I had replies just to realise it's all because of someone being a cow 🐄😂

I never got the see the bitchy reply but whatever it was I couldn't care less about her being too old. This is a really special thing to her and since she mentioned about the other colours I'd like to find them for her 🤷‍♀️

My older daughters have a white one and pink one. The white one is now threadbare as he went everywhere with my daughter including to all her multiple hospital appointments. She won't part with him but we did find another one at the carboot so he now has a friend!
You are right tho it's a chad valley my first bear from Woolworths.

Teddysearcher24 · 28/12/2023 16:46

Thank you for the two links but neither are the right one. They seem more sturdy with a felt type fur. This one is really floppy with a really soft fur. I wonder if it was more of a "premium" Chad valley Teddy (Tesco finest sort of idea)
I might have to start looking at car boots etc

Sorry never seen it . What year roughly? Maybe vinted or eBay ?

Teddysearcher24 · 28/12/2023 19:18

Roughly 2005, I can't even remember when Woolies closed completely. I'm sure loads of people will have them in attics and not even realise

Hi there,

I have the white one however he is my childhood bear and I still sleep with him every night so I wouldn’t be able to sell him for cheap and can understand why others wouldn’t too.

He can be friends with your daughters pink one though

Many thanks

E
