What is in your kids bedroom

We are moving house and trying to figure out what my 6 year old needs in their room. Bed, chest of drawers, kalax with toy. What else do your kids have? It's not the biggest bedroom so need to be careful about what goes in there.

Bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, book shelves on the wall. When older, a desk for writing/homework.

Bed with drawers and bookshelves underneath (mid sleeper) and a
wardrobe.
As he got older my 11yo acquired more bookshelves and a desk. My 10yo has a toy box and shelves for board games etc

In addition to what posters mentioned above...

A dressing table (she's 13); and
A swing.

This helped us hugely, there's a bed, wardrobe and desk in the same food print as a single mattress PLUS each step has a toy cupboard built in.

Honestly a gamechanger

My 7yo's room is a large single (you could just get a smaller double in there, but wouldn't be able to fit anything else or have space to walk along both sides). She has a wardrobe, set of drawers, mini desk, 2x4 Kallax, and a midsleeper. The midsleeper has a play tent underneath it, and she has all of her Sylvanian's set up under there to play with.
I'm not sure how we'll set it up in years to come, however, when she needs more desk space but doesn't want a midsleeper. Once she's past having toys, we could get the under bed wardrobes etc for her midsleeper to free up more floor space for a desk and additional shelves, but I think she'll want a lower bed by then rather than something that requires a ladder to access.

Very minimal.

Bed of course.
Shelf on wall for books.
Bedside table with lamp.
Drawers inside wardrobe.
Rug.

6.5 yr old shares with her sister. They have bunk beds, chest of drawers each, large desk each with set of drawers each underneath, kallax storage as a divider, two big shelves for books, Lego, bits & bobs. There is under bed storage drawers for toys too. Wardrobe is a large built in one, they have half each, shelves above for bedding etc and shelves drawers built in for additional storage. Each also has a small shelf by their bed for water, book, lamp & clock.

My child's room is 11 feet by 6.3 feet although one wall has a little inbuilt alcove in it.
So it's a small room.
To maximise space we got a single bed from IKEA that has 4 drawers in it and a little shelf at one end.
(We going to get high/mid sleeper but then realised the only place it could go was in front of window so a load of light would be blocked so I didn't want to do that)
Then at the end of her bed instead of a wardrobe we have a rail for her clothes. Which works quite well actually.
And the alcove in the wall gives some storage. (We put some toys in there)
But that's it.

Our kid’s bedroom is a mix of essentials and a few fun items from this toy shop we love. We have a cozy bed, a little reading corner with soft cushions, and a shelf for books and their favorite toys. Adding a nightlight and a small play area with their current favorite toys has made it a nice, organized space where they can play, relax, and feel comfortable. I’d recommend checking out the shop for unique and quality items that can add a touch of fun and function to your kid’s room!
