He turned off my heated blanket 😭

I'd turned on my heated blanket in bed, and popped downstairs to finish laundry etc. and went back upstairs to glide into my lovely pre-heated and toasty side if the bed....and DH had turned if off after tidying the bedroom 😭😭😭😭

I am just about to go upstairs, hop into my lovely heated bed, and luxuriate in reading my book in glorious warmth and quiet. I'm 59.

I'm assuming he thinks that it is a fire hazard and not worth keeping on if you aren't using it at that moment as it's wasting electricity?

Electric blankets aren't a fire hazard and they barely use any power. He was just being a knob over zealous.

for PP - I put ours on 30 minutes ago and we are planning on getting in it very soon! Lush early night after a very busy few days.

I'm 45. Got into bed at half past 8. I'm tired. It's been a busy few days, plus I'm up at 5 to take DC to swim club.

Are you always a fun sponge?

I’m 45 and I bloody love my heated blanket at 6am when I start work on a cold morning. Then DD pinches it from me at 8am when she gets up. The heating then goes on, but it’s a lifesaver when your just sat there and it’s too early to start lighting fires or cranking the heating up.

I have been known to go to bed at seven with a hot water bottle so I am feeling this!

Don't ever feel the need to explain to anyone else why you were going to bed at whatever time. I am assuming you do not live in North Korea where everything is dictated! Sometimes it is great to go to bed early and without getting someone else's permission too! I would just be dead jealous if you can sleep through the whole night. I cannot I get up several times for the loo plus suddenly wake right up and have to look at you tube/a book/whatever for a few hours.

What's wrong with going to bed at 8.30pm? I often do when it's cold and dark and I have a lot of reading to catch up on. A book, a warm bed, a cup of tea and biscuits.

Jesus this is grounds for divorce and something my DP does as thinks it’ll go up in flames if left on for more than half an hour 🙄

I couldn't do heated beds these days, I have a over zealous internal heating system!

I went to bed about 8 last couple nights to read though. Was lovely.
