What does this say?

It is in the occupation box on a marriage certificate of someone living near Nottingham in the Victorian era. The others on the page say Malters, but I can’t be sure what this says - any ideas?

The 1861 Census for this family says Cotton Framework Knitter. Ann is also on it as a Cotton Twist Doubler.
