Please share your lovely beds with a nice high bed frame!

It turns out it is quite difficult to find a bed that is not standard 30cm high. I find that a bit low and would much prefer one that is at least 40cm high with a nice thick mattress on top. Like in a hotel!
The one you can just easily sit on without bending. And gosh how easy it is to get off it when you are heavily pregnant!
Do you happen to have one? Where did you get it from?

I'd love one with the storage underneath as well ideally.

A mattress recommendation would be also very appreciated!

The one in the picture is ok but I could only find it in two colours. Am I missing smth? Why are they so rare?

I have a John Lewis divan which I think is at least 40cm high. I don't think they sell it any more but they do a silent night one that I think is 38cm - might that be enough? It only comes in grey though.

Does it have to be an ottoman or is it just storage full stop you need?

Not super expensive would be a big bonus 😬 I'm hoping for a deal of course, this time of the year. But it is def a big purchase a king-size bed and a mattress

We have a fabulous old fashioned style bedstead which we bought from M&S about 25 years ago, it’s about 45cm from the floor. Add on a 12” mattress and I feel like the princess and the pea!

The only slight downside is that it’s quite difficult to get bedside tables high enough!

I'm in si.ilar position,and am looking at qarren Evans and get laid beds....,they seem to have options for slightly higher bed.
Mattresses .. I do have a fabulous very thick mattress from John Ryan..highly recommend. It's a leap of faith but I'd go back to them in a heartbeat. They ask your weight and your partners weight if you share.. and will customise each side to suit. Or at least they did when I got mine. Great mattress
