Recommendations for places to buy new sofas please?

I see the general dfs, furniture village adverts but also horror story’s. Budget will be £1-3k for a 3 and 2 seater if possible. I haven’t brought a sofa in over 10 years so please tell me where did you get yours and would you recommend them?

I've had my DFS sofa for about 12 years and I'm pretty happy with it. I know there's a bit of snobbery around DFS sofas and I'm told the quality can be hit and miss, but I've found them good.

Our Peter Guild suite cost £50 on Ebay years ago and we spent about £1500 having it recovered; it still looks good. Their current ranges retail at around £8k.

We are just looking to replace two DFS sofas that we've had for 20+ years. They are very worn now but certainly don't owe us anything. I've also heard some horror stories but worth a look.

We're very pleased with the sofas we got from Sofology.
1 x 4 person, 1 x 2 person and a cuddle chair that also sits 2 persons.
All for £3k or thereabouts. That was about 18 months ago.
