Gifts for step nephews

OK, MN collective wisdom I need your help coz my brain has gone into over-thinking over-drive.

My sister is getting married. Her fiance has two kids who I am meeting for the first time tonight. I am also giving all my nieces and nephews their presents.

Initially, I was going to give the two new ones a box of chocolate because I don't know them but I decided that was mean so I am giving them cash like the other neices and nephews but do they get £20 like OG niece and nephews or do they get £10 like boyfriends/girlfriends of nieces and nephews?

I was going to give them £10 but now I am wondering if they will think that means I am not counting them as family when their dad is about to marry my sister, so clearly they are.

I would give the £20. Have always treated step children in the family the same way as everyone else.

Personally if I could afford it I'd give the £20 but am sure they'd be happy with £10 too.

Thank you both. £20 it is. I didn't want to come off as weird/flashy giving them £20 when I have never met them but you are right. They are the same as my other nieces and nephews.

Best of luck.

Yap £20 is a reasonable amount.
